December 20, 2007 indicated therapy MyVax failed to slow the spread of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Stock fell July 26, 2006 on news trial of experimental cancer vaccine to continue for another year. Genitope had hoped that the early analysis would show that the vaccine, MyVax, improved disease-free survival in patients with follicular non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system, but it was not conclusive. IPO at $9 October 29, 2003. Raised $33.3 million, selling 3.7 million shares, 22% of the outstanding. Lead Manager: W.R. Hambrecht and Co. February 2008, FDA rejected an appeal from the company to accept a subset of trial data. May 2008, laid off 200 people and indicated is in default on $3.8 million in loans to GE, in negotiations with its landlord on 220,000 square feet, and could file bankruptcy.
